Project background
A 15-metre sailing yacht used for charter needed to reduce generator hours at anchor while keeping the bimini usable under sail.
Solution adopted
Off-grid Solar Storage SystemFlexible panels were bonded to the bimini with two rigid panels on the coachroof, wired through deck glands to a dedicated MPPT charger and LFP bank.
- Generator runtime reduced at anchor
- Deck walkway kept clear
- Cabling routed through existing conduit
